Election Results for Iraq's Christian Parties
March 23, 2010

Baghdad (AINA) -- With nearly all voting precincts reporting from Iraq's 18 electoral districts, the results for the 7 Christian parties vying for the Assyrian/Christian votes (AINA 3-1-2010) show the two leading parties with 66.2% of votes. The Two Rivers List (389), backed by the Assyrian Democratic Movement, got 35.5%. The Assyrian Chaldean Syriac People's Council (390), a Kurdish backed party, got 30.7%. The 5 remaining parties captured 33.8% of the vote.
